Private Penthouse

For years now, we at Carefree Sofas were mainly focused on making custom made sofas and corner sofas. However, as time went by, we also introduced our upholstered beds and headboards, together with the occasional chair and dining chairs. We have worked with the Sciclunas for years now and to our great satisfaction, they are always satisfied with what we help them create.

The large 3.9m by 3.5m corner sofa was a perfect example of comfort. With the help of a local artisan, who makes metal frames, we were able to mount the sofa on the frame, which gave it a modern and also contemporary look. The corner soda had large, soft padded back cushions on each side while we made large throw pillows for the corner piece. The fabric used was soft and easy to clean microfibre, the type we offer by order, at our factory.

In the living area, we made sheer curtains all around the indoor pool together with the large balcony overlooking Marsalforn. In the main bedroom, we upholstered an antique chaise lounge in a green patterned, classic fabric, together with two small chairs in a mustard colour. The effect of the colours and scatter cushions was amazing.

The headboard was a large tufted piece in the centre in a grey tone surrounded by plain panels in the same grey tones, leaving a stunning effect. Another headboard in a boys’ room was very plain and simple, in a pale blue colour, with large gold upholstery pins all around the edge, which gave it a splendid touch. We made a togo chair replica in yellow to add colour to the room which can be used to relax in and play his favourite PlayStation games on.

In projects like this, works in family homes, we go in and take measurements and then discuss with clients what their ideas are and work from there. Or else, we work on what their interior designers had recommended, and bring what is on paper, to life.

The Sciclunas were very happy with the end result and it gives us great pleasure, once we see the look of the finished work, together with another satisfied customer who just had their interior design dreams come to life.
